It's no secret that Black Friday has become one of the biggest retail events of the year.
So, it's no wonder shoppers around the country have been racing to take advantage of all the new deals and discounts that have just been unleashed.
However, this year it seems shoppers can score the best deal for last, as Kmart's new designer dupe has become an overnight sensation.
Kmart’s Metal Frame Wavy Floor Mirror, which usually retails for only $49, sold out online almost immediately—and the reason has a lot to do with the cost!
Kmart isn’t the first retailer to have a full-length wave mirror as part of its range, but the designer versions you would find on luxurious homewares and beauty sites can range from $199 right up to a staggering $899.
Shoppers have been so eager to get their hands on this item, with social media personality Rachael Hamilton taking the lead. In a video she posted online, she told her followers to take her video as a sign to snag the Metal Frame Wavy Floor Mirror, especially if they were worried about taking it home using a small car.
‘I’ve got a little Hyundai i30, and it fits. Was it a squeeze? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes, because this is [an] awesome mirror,’ she said.
‘It looks so good.’
She added that the mirror was ‘cute’ and she ‘loved’ it once she set it up in her living room.
Another shopper, Kate Christensen, recommended this mirror to brides-to-be or anyone planning a big event soon, revealing that she bought the item during this year’s Black Friday Sale.
‘If you have seen the beautiful mirror decal welcome or seating sign, run to Kmart. I just picked one of these up, and the quality is great for $50,’ she said.
This was not the first time shoppers raved about Kmart’s mirrors. Kmart’s Full Length Hollywood Mirror was one of the popular items during last year’s Black Friday sale.
In fact, with the prices of the similar version of the mirror reaching from $850 to $900 from major Australian beauty brands, this Kmart deal of $49 has been called 'an absolute steal'.
‘That Hollywood mirror is such a bargain; I need it,’ one commented.
‘What a deal. So good,’ another said.
Kmart introduced over 100 items to celebrate the Black Friday Sale, which was launched on 23 November. Marked-down products are available in stores while stock lasts.
