Empire State Building
An American, Australian and Irishman are on top of the Empire State Building when the American suddenly jumps off to the horror of the Irishman. Moments later the American reappears unharmed on top of the building. The Irishman approaches and asks the American "How did you do that? I saw you jump". To which the American replied, "It's easy, I bent my knees as I was falling and simply pushed back up when I got to the bottom". "I don't believe you" said the Irishman. So the American did it again and reappeared on top of the building. "I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it for myself" said the Irishman. "Why don't you have a go?" said the American. "It's easy". "Alright I will", said the Irishman. Meanwhile the Australian is looking on, shaking his head.
So the Irishman moves to the edge. "Now remember..."said the American, "...bend your knees and when you get near the bottom push down with your legs and spring back up as hard as you can". The Irishman mutters the instructions to himself, takes a deep breath and jumps off the building. Down, down, down he goes and then SPLAT onto the footpath (sidewalk) below.
The Australian, who has been watching this all along, approaches the American. He looks down at the scene below, then looks up at the American and back down at the footpath and says, "You can be a real bastard sometimes Superman".
