Switzerland.........I have only just returned from there, one week ago.....Wonderful place. Ever so safe. We saw young people, some girls of around 12, 13, 14 travelling on trams in Zurich, unaccompanied by adults. When we discussed this with Swiss people, they informed us that this would be one of the the safest countries on the planet. They said that they could leave their keys in an unlocked vehicle, knowing that it would still be there when they returned. They also said that they can leave their front doors and windows open without a thought of being intruded or robbed. There was no need to be afraid to walk the streets at night also. The only downside to Swiss life is the cost of living. It is about double the cost of Australia, but earnings are also about double. So realistically, it is relatively the same. However, this means that if you wanted to retire to Switzerland, you would need a healthy bank account or investment.
