EFTPOS banking issues

Hi, I have had trouble with some card readers. There is no longer the ability to withdraw from my savings account.
Some card readers have removed the 1 2 3 option to use No,2 for savings account.
This means that we have to use cash or credit which I try not to due to the extortionate fees.
Have there been any others who have had this problem?

I have increasingly noticed this in some shops where you must pay by card and when you insert your card you do not have options of savings only credit and then there is a fee. We just can not win with our purchases. I have also recently noticed too that my card will not work on some machines in some shops. I checked my card with the bank, who assured me that my card was fine and would probably be a fault in their machines. This is the new cashless world! Works well doesn't it?!

I haven’t noticed this but then I rarely shop in store, online shopping is so much easier. If I am in store I always use tap and go but will find out when I go to my GP in a fortnight. There, you insert your card then your pin etc to pay your bill & then again for Medicare rebate. I use a debit card for bills etc but put it in as credit for Medicare. Will be interesting to see if the account selection button has disappeared off their device.
