Easy Spicy Chicken

My sons love this chicken . I make extra so they can slice it the next day and have on wraps .

I serve this usually with Greek salad shown in the picture, but steamed vegetables also goes well

Serves 4
Prep time 10 minutes plus marinate time
Cooking time 20 minutes

Ingredients

4 chicken breast fillets
1 tablespoon star anise ( found in spice section)
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons mince ginger ( I use jar ginger)
1 garlic clove minced
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 teaspoon Chinese five spice
1 /2 teaspoon salt

Method

1 . Combine star anis,oil,soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sugar, turmeric, five spice and salt in a bowl and stir to combine.

2 . Add chicken to the bowl and coat evenly with marinade, cover , refrigerate for 4 hours.

3 . Preheat pan on medium heat add a little oil and cook 10 minutes on each side or until cooked

Serve with salad or steamed vegetables
