Easy Self Saucing Caramel Apple Pudding

This is so easy to whip up aandeveryone loves it . Serve warm with ice cream

Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled and finely sliced
1½ cups boiling water
1 cup self-raising flour
3 tbsp golden syrup
¾ cup white sugar
½ cup milk 1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
60g (2oz) butter
Method:
• Preheat oven to 180°C (160 C fan forced ) and grease a 1.5 litre (6 cup) capacity ovenproof dish.
• Place the apples, flour, sugar, milk, egg and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix.
• Spoon the mixture into the prepared dish.
• Cut the butter into chunks and scatter over the top of mixture.
• Dissolve the golden syrup in the boiling water and gently pour over the top.
• Bake for 30–40 minutes until golden and bubbling.
• Allow to rest for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow time for the sauce to
thicken slightly.
