Dragon Fruit Flower.​

This flower is a huge flower. It approximately 250mm across the white petal section.
It Blooms in all it's glory for about 3-4 hrs or so of a morning and by the afternoon
it will collapse and wilt.

I don't think I've ever seen this flower before! I learn so many new things in this forum This is gorgeous!

I grew it by accident. It took about 2-3 yrs to flower. I was stunned when I saw last year and then the base become a Dragon Fruit and they taste quite nice. Last year I only had about 4 flowers so only four fruit and this year there were 15 flowers that mean they will become 15 Dragon Fruit. In the shops here they sell for $5.00 each so I am farming them caustiously as I think they may become a pest but at $5.00 each that is NOT a pest I would kill off. Next Year I will take a more informative photo and post it. but you can see them on the net ABC farming Dragon Fruit

I also have this in my garden and I'm sure I posted it before.

Mine would only open for about 1 to 2 hours and only last for about 1 week

I AM SORRY to upset you .. I ddin't know you had posted it before.
I only posted what I saw in my own yard so it is most certainly wrong information.
