DODGY ATO 'TAX TIME' SCAM

I received this one a few days ago now, so be on the lookout for this.

A supposed refund available for me.

Note in the header and further down in the text that available refund are two different figures.

The opening headline is a dead giveaway, as is the inconsistency between who is actually given the refund ATO or MyGOV, then the Dear Customer - ATO knows your name, and the list goes on.

I got the message on my phone said to contact the NSW service ,I just deleted it ,then it was sent again ,message came on my phone that it was Fraud so I just deleted it ,lucky my phone sends messages of fraud n other things on it Samsung one

If you receive an email from the ATO consider it a scam as they will never, ever contact you by email, nor will they leave a message if they ever ring you. The only way they will contact you either by mail or by phone, if they cannot reach you by phone they will send a letter with a reference number for you to quote.

They will tell you to log into your MYGOV Account, thats where letters, notifications etc are ;)
