Do you have stories about your dads swooping in to save the day?

Hey members!

Long time no chat, right? I’m back because I’ve been missing those lovely stories you all share. And guess what? I’ve got a feeling you have a lot about a topic that I’ll share with you. So this morning, a cabinet door fell on me while I was preparing for a morning stroll with my dad. So I let out a loud scream (Well, I might have overreacted a bit). And guess who came to the rescue, tools in hand and a grin on his face? That’s right, my dad!

Aren’t dads just the best? You know, I’m a daddy’s girl. I’ve been his little helper when washing the car, fixing the lights, and he always brought me wherever he was when I was a kid. He’s the one I turn to for advice, the go-to bloke when things need fixing, and the ultimate source of those legendary dad jokes. I always thank him for his unwavering love for me.

Even now, as an adult, my dad remains my hero. So, members, do you have heartwarming, hilarious, or downright heroic stories about your dads swooping in to save the day? Those memories make you nod and say, ‘Yep, that’s my dad!’ Share them in the comments below! I can’t wait to read them!

Oh dear Vella, glad your dearest Dad helped out! My Dad helped me out when locked out of my flat years ago...I had a bad habit of pushing the button in on the door and forgetting my keys! Old trick was hammer a screw driver on the lock and hey presto it opened! Sadly both my parents are no longer with us....my Dad was always made me laugh every Christmas when he stole a pine tree from neighbours farm. The pines were in a corner spot next to our boundary fence. Dad got away with it for 6 yrs...the neighbour never said anything! My Dad passed in 2011...he had a great sense of humour. Your Dad sounds wonderful. Have a great week-end!

Back in the 60’s before modern Kmart & reject shops existed my year 2 teacher didn’t know where to find (magic) wands for the seven fairies who would be staring in our Cinderella pantomime. Enter my dad who carved timber sticks and stars out of wood which he spray painted silver, sprinkled with glitter & super glued together. My dear dad saved the day.
