Can't bring myself to watch ''Boy In The Striped Pyjamas'' much too sad .Watched ''The Mist'' a bit drawn out sad ending though.
The movies l will never ever watch again because of there sheer cruelty are.
Jack Ketchums 'The Girl Next Door' based on a true story of what happened to Syvia Likens l just couldn't watch it but l did read about whether she died or not by typing in her name. The other is ''Eden Lake'' another bad ending.
On a lighter note how about ''Overboard '' Goldie Hawn Kurt Russel good comedy
My favourite comedy of all time is Caddyshack. Rodney Dangerfield as Al Czervik is an absolute hoot, overtaking the rest of the cast which included Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and Ted Knight.

Can l please ask readers how the heck l can get rid of this persistent ad from McAfee which half covers my computer screen.l get rid of it then it comes back
Do you get the ad while on SDC? Strange! Being a Rewards member, this should not happen. You may need to install an anti ad app, such as Ad Blocker but be very wary.

Did you recently open a scam email from a fake McAfee website or Googled McAfee? That may be the cause of your problem.

Any other SDC members have other ideas?

"Brigadoon" used to be on every Christmas as I was growing up... then 'poof' it's gone. They haven't played it for decades 😪
If you're able, and would like to watch an old musical love story staring Gene Kelly, then try and get your hands on a copy, sit back, relax, and sing along❣️ They don't make 'em like this anymore.
They certainly don't. Happy New year 🥳 🤩 💐

Are you using an Android or smartphone, desktop, laptop or iPad?

Is your operating system Microsoft or Apple based?

Depends on your platform depends on what protection is best.

Yep I am a big fan of "Overboard" as well. I think it is always good for a laugh .
"Love Actually" is another one.
I particularly like how it has different people and then you
gradually see how masterfully the connection is established
to each one and drawing it all together and makes it very clear that it is a very ordinary set of
lives that blend together and are important as a whole, even if it is somewhat unexpected
shown as a link to people who are a part of the structure of Family. No matter how obscure
it appears to be , in the beginning and then, the here it is the culmination of separate
lives who are connected to each
other's lives by Family . I found it to be ridiculously funny in the
Nonsensical coming of being
relative to each other .

I have a copy of Brigadoon, and it is a lovely movie.

My two favourites at any time of the year would be Lars And the Real Girl. It's about a lonely man who lives with his brother and sister in law over their garage, and works at a local office.
He buys a realistic sex doll, but not for sex, for a companion/mother type thing.
Everyone in the town gets to know "Bianca" and she even gets a job as a mannequin at a local shop.
In the sad end Lars has to kill her off because he gets a real girlfriend so he plans a funeral for her which the whole town attends.
It's a wonderful feel good movie and now i'm going to have to watch it again.

My second favourite would be The Man From Earth, it's about Professor John Oldman who has a going away party for his few friends and is set basically in the one room in a cabin.
He tells the story of his long life and in the end it turns out he was JC himself.
Now I don't have a religious bone in my body but this story was fasinating and you begin to believe this could be real, if such a person exsited in the first place, which has never been proved one way or the other. To me it's just a sci-fi-ish type of story with a sad ending when one of the group has a heart attack and dies.

If you're on a computer or laptop get a pop up blocker, I use uBlock Origin and I get no ads anywhere.
If you're on a phone download an app called Add Blocker, it's a free app from the google store if you're on an android. Then use that as your browser on the phone, no ads anywhere.
