Let’s take a look at the top six affordable Kmart items that can help you get started:

1. In-Wash Lint Catchers

Clothes and bedroom linen catch a lot of hair and lint through time–regardless of whether you have a pet or not. Put this item in the washing machine along with your clothes, and these little catchers will help reduce the amount of lint, dirt, and other particles that can build up and potentially clog up our washing machines. Kmart offers a pack of four for just $4!

2. Peg Stainless Steel Airer

If you don’t have much clothesline space to work with, this Stainless Steel Airer can hold up to 34 different items (socks, underwear, and more!) on one handy hook frame, leaving space on your washing line for more items and keeping all your smaller pieces together for faster folding later on.

At only $14, this item could be just what you need to keep your laundry organised.

3. Magnetic Laundry Station

If you are struggling to make the most of a small space in the laundry room, this little magnetic shelf might be the solution!

Ideal for storing items right next to your washing machine–this item can hold and display all your essentials, from laundry detergent to cleaning brushes! The Kmart Magnetic Laundry Station retails for $25.

4. Panelled Trolley

Previously seen in IKEA stores, Kmart finally released its own version. The best part is this Panelled Trolley comes with a more affordable price tag at $35.

This three-tiered item comes with plenty of space for storage where you can keep washing powder, cleaning products, towels, pegs, and other items conveniently.

Plus, its portability allows you to wheel it out of the laundry when it’s not in use. With a little creativity, it could even pass as a cute piece of furniture on its own.

5. Laundry Hamper Cabinet

This nifty laundry hamper cabinet is equipped with hidden hamper bins, which are built into the cabinet doors themselves––allowing users to easily hide dirty clothes in the laundry room. It also has two separate doors with hampers so you can start your sorting process even before doing the laundry.

This piece of furniture will set you back $65, and you can even find some interesting uses (like transforming it into a set of rubbish bins!) that will help you make the most of this purchase.

6. Multi-Tier Laundry Hamper

If you want a little more control over the laundry sorting process, we recommend this multi-tier laundry hamper. It is collapsible and moveable, with three different-sized baskets on tiers. This item could be a great tool for sorting your clothes or a storage solution for the other loose items around your laundry.

And the best part is…it’s now down to $49 (previously priced at $55.

There you have it! If you’re looking for ways to save a few dollars while keeping your clothes looking their best, don’t forget to read our previous article for some tips!

These are fabulous ideas especially if space is tight. Thanks for sharing such handy ideas. I want the Magnetic Laundry Station as I can see that it will tidy up my benchtop straight away! ;)

The stainless steel airer is good. I haven't bought it from Kmart, however I bought two from Biome - which is a zero waste store. They have a shop local to me.
It cost $25 each. It's a higher grade stainless steel for rust and weathering. Sometimes, you get what you pay for.
They made great practical Christmas presents last year for my family.
I have bought Kmart's 3 tier bathroom caddy for $20. I fits nicely beside the toilet for storing toilet rolls and toilet cleaners.
