Maintaining a clean and organised home is crucial for both our physical and mental well-being. It gives us control, order, and calm in our lives.

However, keeping our homes spick and span can be a daunting task, especially for those leading busy lives.

What’s worse, most of the commercial cleaners out there contain harsh chemicals or are simply not powerful enough to tackle stubborn kitchen grime, grease and dirt.

But fear not! We’ve found the perfect three-ingredient solution that can help you get your kitchen looking sparkling clean and smelling great!

Chantel Mila, aka ‘Mama Mila’, is a Melbourne mum-of-two whose cleaning recipes and tips have quickly become internet sensations.

Her latest handy idea for a ‘DIY kitchen cleaner’ has been viewed by almost 2 million people across Instagram and TikTok!

According to Mama Mila, creating an effective cleaning solution doesn't have to be complicated. With just three simple ingredients, you can make a powerful concoction that will leave your surfaces sparkling clean.

All you need is white vinegar, lemon juice, and warm water. By combining these ingredients in a spray bottle, you'll have an easy-to-use cleaning solution that will help you easily tackle dirt and grime.

Chantel recommends these powerful, acidic ingredients for a deep clean to rid the kitchen of old grease, grime or any lingering smells.

The vinegar and lemon will dissolve the dirt and leave benches, stovetops, and cabinets shining, while the lemon acts as a natural deodoriser and will leave your kitchen smelling fresh!

Just remember: every surface is different, so it is best to patch-test the mix on a small area before using it everywhere.

The tip has wowed many homeowners, with many praising the mum for her effortless tricks.

One person wrote: 'My home always feels cleaner just by watching your videos.’

'Been doing this for years,' another added.

Chantel has another great cleaning trick up her sleeve, too - this time, tackling those difficult floors.

If you're looking to give your laminate or tile floors a deep clean, a simple solution can help you achieve a streak-free and sparkling finish.

Mama Mila recommends using boiling water, dishwashing detergent, and white vinegar in your mop bucket.

You can also add in a few drops of essential oil and 1/4 cup of rubbing alcohol.

According to the savvy mother, rubbing alcohol is a game-changer when it comes to achieving streak-free and quickly drying floors.

The rubbing alcohol not only helps to speed up the drying process but also removes hidden grime from your floors, leaving them sparkling clean.

Meanwhile, adding a few drops of essential oil to the mixture can also help to create a pleasant and refreshing scent throughout your home.

However, it's essential to note that this cleaning method may not be suitable for all floor types.

'Use discretion if you have pets or small children,' Mama Mila added.

I dilute dishwashing liquid in a 500ml spray bottle using 50ml dishwashing liquid (1 part dishwashing liquid to 10 parts water) to clean the kitchen areas. Ecostore dishwashing liquid is a non-toxic product that you can buy in the supermarkets.
Otherwise, I use Jif or Aldi's cream cleanser with a reusable cloth if it needs scouring . Both aren't non-toxic, but they are efficient cleaning products without being highly perfumed and irritating.

Ordinary white vinegar on its own in a spray bottle will do the job as well, and it only smells when wet. BTW, the best spray bottles around are the Aldi $3 cleaning sprays. Toss the contents (or use them) then reuse the bottle.

For gleaming sinks, I sprinkle bicarb soda then spray with white vinegar. Leave to fizz for a minute or two, then use a teflon/non-abrasive scourer to wipe it around, then rinse.

It would be ok if you had a lemon tree growing in your yard with the cost of lemons these days. Just how many lemons would be required for a bucket. One lemon alone with a lot of hot water. I have to question ???? this.

"professional cleaner has shared ‘the ultimate’ three-ingredient kitchen cleaning mix which uses no harsh chemicals!" ... I always have a laugh when people rave on about not using "chemicals'. Did they wag science at school? Everything boils down to chemicals. Lemon juice is chemicals (including citric acid), vinegar is chemicals (acetic acid and water), bicarb or baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, and water is a chemical too (dihydrogen monoxide). All those cleaning hacks that have become "internet sensations" are things that have been around for decades and most of us seniors already know them and learned them from our grandmothers. It's hilarious when these social media junkies act like they've discovered something new. "But fear not! We’ve found the perfect three-ingredient solution that can help you get your kitchen looking sparkling clean and smelling great!" Yeah, sure, THEY found it!
