Discover the drug-free 'sea band' that travellers and pregnant women swear by to banish sea, motion, and even morning sickness instantly!

Many of us have certainly racked up plenty of travelling experiences over the years, and most of us can probably say that there have been a few instances when travel sickness got the best of us*.

For me, for example, when I had the ‘pleasure’ of doing a day-long kayaking tour of the Amalfi Coast, I instead spent the day in the kayak with my head in a sick-bag. So, whether it's on a long car journey, a scenic boat cruise, a kayaking tour or even during those early morning flights, there is no doubt travel sickness can truly dampen the excitement of a new adventure*.

But worry not, dear members! Because a new drug-free solution has emerged* and is receiving rave reviews not only from travellers but also from pregnant women battling morning sickness.

Introducing the Sea-Band Nausea Relief Wrist Bands, priced at just $18.99*, which have been hailed as nothing short of a ‘lifesaver’! These natural, drug-free wrist bands claim to alleviate sea sickness, motion sickness and even morning sickness with outstanding results.

Not only that, the Sea-Band is currently running a splendid promotion: spend $35 or more on any nausea relief purchase and receive a complimentary three-day accommodation voucher worth $600*, which will be available until 5 July 2023.

The accommodation voucher will be sent to you via email from the Sea-Band customer support team as part of their delivery fulfilment process, after an online purchase of $35+*. The email will contain instructions on how to activate the voucher and book your holiday, for more information about this voucher, you can visit this link.

The Sea-Band wrist bands have undergone extensive testing in various clinical trials, and with over 80 successful studies*, they have been proven to reduce motion sickness by up to 88.7%, ease morning sickness by a whopping 70%, and lessen nausea for chemotherapy patients by 70% as well*. A great, non-invasive option if you are prone to nausea like I am.

Suitable for both children and adults, these wonderbands employ a knitted elasticated band design, which operates by applying pressure on the Nei Kuan acupressure point of each wrist with a small plastic stud*. Their drug-free nature means that they don't come with the baggage of side effects commonly associated with anti-nausea drugs. Sea-Band wristbands can be worn whenever you experience nausea, ensuring relief and comfort.

The bands come in two sizes – adults' ($18.99) and kids' ($18.99)* – and there's even a specially designed Nausea Relief Band for pregnant women ($18.99). So if you do have a daughter, or granddaughter, who is currently pregnant and is experiencing morning sickness, she could give this a try! Not to mention, this pregnancy band has been midwife-recommended and embraced by expecting mums all across Australia.

@featherfour they apply pressure to a specific acupressure point on your wrist using this small plastic stud! But of course, as I stated throughout the article and at the bottom this is sponsored content, so if you aren't interested at all just ignore it :) If you are anything like me and get motion / sea sickness in any situation (I'm very sensitive haha) I'm more than happy to give it a go because I hate the ginger tablets!!! But I cannot emphasise enough, it's all completely optional, I don't want anyone feeling forced into buying things!

Yes. These are not new. I used them when I was expecting my last baby - 31 years ago. I found them at the health food store. They did help relieve some of the pregnancy sickness, although not all of it.

I saw a few people using them on a recent cruise I was on, it didn't work for all of them.

Have never worked for me - I’ve spent a lot of time on boats of all shapes and sizes and I swear by the hottest crystallised ginger cubes you can find!

I bought my first pair about 35 years ago from a chemist. I suffered from car sickness (as a child I had to lie down to go on long drives), sea sickness and air sickness. They worked a treat for all three sickness types. I thought they wouldn't work on someone like me because I got really sick with any type of motion. However, they did. I think part of the success is having the small plastic disc in the correct place.

My daughter used these for motion sickness 20-odd years ago. They were especially handy when travelling with school band tour for a week because the bands do not make you sleepy as travel sickness tablets do and therefore did not effect performance as they often visited more than one school a day. The fact I didn’t have to constantly “drug up” a child/teen was a plus. BUT she said the “dead arms” when they’re worn for a length of time was definitely not great.

I have used these for over ten years now when boating, absolutely swear by them and you know if they are not placed properly on your wrist as you start to feel sick, so a quick readjustment and you are fine.

These Sea Bands absolutely do work. I have used these for many years. Also once I never had them with me so I sewed a button on a piece of elastic & used that. It also works. But you must place it on the pressure point on each wrist. Why not make your own or much cheaper to buy on line than in a shop here in Australia.

When My mate and I were part of the crew yacht racing from Queenscilff to Apollo Bay, he had one. The rest of use used pills. Guess who went green as soon as the weather went south???

My Sister -in- law and I used sea bands and they do work. She forgot on the first night and was seasick but after putting the sea bands on she was OK. I forget how many years ago we got them, and I still have them.

I suffer badly from motion sickness, especially sea sickness. I tried these bands years ago and they did nothing at all. The only thing that works for me is Ondansetron, a prescription medication for nausea.

I Wish they had them Years Ago when I was Working on a Prawn Trawler up in North Queensland. From the Smell of Fish and Rough Weather it would have been a Benefit to Me.

I got these for my daughter 40+ years ago, they work really well, in the car or on a boat.
