Difference between strong and weak people
Contrary to popular belief, strength is not merely about how much weight one can lift, how much money one makes, or the status, titles, or accolades one has collected. In this article, we use the inspiration of German philosopher Friedrich Nietzche to illuminate the nature of strength and weakness.
The Strong Individual, Through Effort of Will, Determines and Embodies their Values
As opposed to merely adopting the values of those around them, they have curated for themselves a way of being that ideally reflects the kind of person they would prefer to be in the world. The strong person, then, enacts these values. In doing so they impress their will upon the world. Likewise, when their values are inevitably challenged, they do not easily fold or compromise. This is the clearest evidence of strength; that in overcoming the inevitable challenges of life one affirms their values and this affirms life.
