At 86 I look back, in particular, at my enjoyable career of 40 years in Radio and TV. A career that began in regional towns, then capital cities in Australia and reached London in the early 70s. I often say I’d do it all again, in a heartbeat! The most memorable times were mainly about the people I met and worked with, or interviewed. Most of my Media years I spent in News, as a journalist and newsreader. My one claim to 15 minutes of fame occurred at LBC in London when I read the station’s inaugural News bulletin at 6am on October 8 1973. I recently came out of retirement, at 86, and read a 2 minute bulletin as part of LBC’s 50th anniversary. My wife Gracie and I live on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
