This recipe is simple and yields a delicious treat perfect for any occasion.

What You'll Need:

For the apple fritters:

- 150g flour
- 50g sugar
- 10g baking powder
- 3g salt
- 5g cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 90ml milk
- 30g apple sauce (or boil 3 or 4 of your own apples in water to create your own apple sauce if you want to be a little more health-conscious)
- 2 apples, diced

For the glaze:

- 280g powdered sugar
- 60ml milk
- 5ml vanilla

For frying:

- Vegetable oil

Instructions:

1. To make the batter, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, applesauce, and milk. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until everything is incorporated. Fold in the diced apples. Set aside while you prepare the glaze.

2. To make the glaze, mix together the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Set aside for later.

3. To fry the fritters, add vegetable oil to a pan and heat to 176 degrees celsius. Use an ice cream scoop to drop the batter into the oil, spreading it out a little bit. Turn to the other side when golden brown. When both sides have a nice colour, remove from the oil and put on a cooling rack.

4. To glaze the fritters, once all the excess oil has dripped off, dunk them right into the glaze and put them back on the cooling rack. Eat right away!
