Delicious and Easy Salmon Red Curry

Salmon red curry is a type of Thai curry that is traditionally made with salmon, red curry paste, coconut milk, and a variety of other ingredients. The exact ingredients and proportions vary depending on the region and the individual cook, but some common ingredients include fish sauce, sugar, lime juice, and Thai basil.

This dish is not only delicious but it is also packed with nutrients that are beneficial for your health. Salmon is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for heart health. Red curry paste is made with red chilli peppers, which contain capsaicin. Capsaicin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. And coconut milk is a good source of healthy fats.



To make salmon red curry, you will need:

-2 skinless salmon fillets (about 200g each), cut into 3cm pieces
-1/3 cup red curry paste (100g)
-1 can of coconut milk (400ml)
-2 tsp of fish sauce
-2 tsp of brown sugar
-2 tbsp of lime juice
-1 handful of Thai basil leaves

Instructions:

1. First, heat a pan or wok over medium heat and add the salmon. Cook the salmon for a few minutes on each side or until it is cooked through. Then, remove the salmon from the pan and set it aside.

2. Next, add the curry paste to the pan and cook it for a minute or two, stirring constantly. Then, add the coconut milk and continue to cook until the mixture comes to a boil.

3. Once the mixture is boiling, add the fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice. Stir until everything is well combined, then add the cooked salmon and Thai basil leaves. Cook for another minute or two, then remove from heat and serve.



There are many ways to make salmon red curry even more delicious. Try adding some vegetables like green beans, bell peppers, or mushrooms. Or, if you want a bit more heat, add some fresh chilli peppers or chilli flakes. You could also try using other types of fish or seafood in place of the salmon.
