Knight has had a lengthy career in media, working as a presenter for Nine for over 12 years.

A year after, Nine dropped Knight and her co-host Gardner, citing the need for a ‘shake-up’ to boost ratings since the attempt to introduce a new format with two women hosting the show did not resonate well with the audience.
Soon after, Nine granted Knight the prized afternoon slot on Sydney's 2GB and 4BC radio station. Knight took over after Steve Price departed from his radio role, a position he held for nearly a decade.
Steve addressed rumours of Knight taking over his role, asserting that leaving the network was not his decision but rather Nine Entertainment’s move towards a new direction.
Industry insiders were impressed with the high-profile signing, estimating Knight’s salary at the sizable amount of $600,000 when she began her role with 2GB.
Initially, the move seemed successful. Knight debuted with strong ratings of 11.4 per cent market share.
However, the latest surveys showed listenership has significantly fallen, with her current share only around 6 per cent.
The 2GB afternoon show host position will soon open up.
Reports suggest that Joe Hildebrand, who recently filled in for Knight, might be a leading contender, while Mark Levy, another 2GB presenter, has also shown interest in the role.

In addition to her television responsibilities, Deborah serves as an ambassador for 9Mums and contributes regularly to 9Honey.
She holds positions on the Board and as an Ambassador for the charity Miracle Babies and serves as a Patron for the Sydney Children’s Hospital.
