Customer frustrated after being served a STILL FROZEN $51 "deconstructed" lobster roll

Sometimes, what we see is not always what we get…
A customer from the US was left stunned after discovering that the lobster roll she ordered for a whopping $51 from a food truck came "deconstructed" and even undercooked.
$51 ($35 USD) for food that was still partially frozen and that she had to assemble herself? It's hard to put ourselves in that woman's shoes, but we can only imagine how frustrated she must have been!
To celebrate her husband's birthday, the couple went to a concert together. She intended to buy him a "nice" meal while they were there, but the only place to eat she could find in the area was a food truck.
So she placed an order for what she believed to be a lobster roll with a side of truffle chips. She was surprised, however, to receive a cardboard box with the individual ingredients all separated inside.
Meaning, she would have to put the dish together by herself. What's worse is that the "lobster" also seemed to be severely undercooked – in fact, she claimed it was still frozen when she received it!

The box contained three sauce sachets, a brioche roll, lobster claw and knuckle meat in a plastic container, dressing, and pre-cut chips.
“It absolutely floored me. If I wasn’t already half a bottle of wine deep and hungry I would’ve chucked it dramatically into the distance," said Hannah in her Facebook post.
Hannah claimed the employee "offered no apology" when she brought the box back to the window to complain, but still heated up her frozen lobster on the grill.
When the employee asked if she wanted butter—the butter that was supposed to be included with the meal—she said yes.
The food truck worker explained that they don't dress their meals at the window because the food will be "congealed" and they liked to give their customers the "freedom" to make their own choices. (This is the reason why the sauces and the ingredients are served separately.)
Tired from the concert and extremely hungry already, Hannah just said, "Yeah, sure that's it," and took her meal back after it was reheated.
She also mentioned that she surely won't be "making the same mistake again" when it comes to ordering expensive food at food trucks.

Social media users responded to her post with more than 300 reactions and over a hundred comments, with the majority of them supporting her and sympathising with her issue.
"Lobster is expensive but come on, bro. That's frozen lobster," one user wrote in the comments.
Another agreed and added, "The only way a lobster roll meal should be $35 is if it’s fresh, has very large pieces, at least double the amount they were given, and prepared in a way that looks and tastes good. That looks like crap."
Meanwhile, others criticised the food truck for serving undercooked food and charging their customers $51 for it. "That’s the most expensive lunchable I’ve ever seen! Seriously though, I’m sorry that happened," one user said.
Others also commended Hannah for what she did and said they would have done the same. "It doesn't matter how cheap or expensive it is. I don't play around when it comes to food. I would have handed that right back to them," wrote one woman.
A few others, however, have come to the defence of the employee working at the food truck. One person commented that the employees are often instructed to separate the ingredients, particularly the lobster, because it can make the bun soggy.
There are also some who reasoned the hefty price tag, saying that lobster prices can skyrocket especially if it's a "bad season", depending on the store's location.

We can probably all agree that lobsters are among the most highly sought-after seafood out there. Not only do they look luxurious on the plate, but they also taste amazing even when they are just sautéed in butter (with lots of fresh garlic, of course).
Because of this, they command high prices in supermarkets; for just one kilogram of servings, the average customer must fork over more than $70, with each lobster costing close to $27.
With this in mind, it is reasonable to assume that a single lobster meal that costs a whopping $51 will surpass one's expectations in every way. Tender meat inside a well-cooked shell that has a generous amount of garlic butter dressing on top. Maybe we can even expect chips on the side, yes?
What are your thoughts, folks? Do you think she was unreasonable for complaining about the lobster roll on social media? Or do you think it was appropriate to call out the food truck? Let us know in the comments!
