Creamy Mushroom Chicken Slow Cooked

It's slow cooked for a reason, it cooks to perfection so it can melt in your mouth

This is one of my sons all-time favourite dish . Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.
Serves: 4
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 2-5 hours

Ingredients:

700g boneless, skinless chicken thighs
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup cream of mushroom soup can
1 sachet (24g) chicken gravy mix
2 cups sliced mushrooms
½ cup sour cream

Method:

• Season the chicken with the salt, pepper and garlic powder. • Place the soup and gravy mix into the slow cooker and whisk until smooth. • Add the chicken and mushrooms and give everything a good stir. • Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. • Just before serving, stir in the sour cream.
Serve with steamed vegetables

I like to leave out chicken , mushroom soup , add more garlic , sweet paprika , lots of mushroom ,sliced onions and cherry tomatoes . Mushroom Stroganoff

Thank you Suzanne for sharing this, it looks lovely but due to recent events in Victoria with mushroom poisoning of a family I've totally gone off eating them

If you buy mushrooms from a shop you are fine. I made steak n mushroom sauce today.

The woman who did this got arrested today. She purposely fed them poisonous mushrooms. The ones you buy in the shop are not poisonous

I actually hate mushrooms 🍄 but cook them as family members love em . I just don't do any taste test eg when I make mushroom sauce or gravy
thats a bad looking mushroom , i,d give that one a miss 😂 😂 🤣😁

i often hollow out a resonable size mushroom , add an egg , sprinkle with bacon crumbe and cheese , wrap in more bacon . discard red mushrooms 😂 😂 😂 👅👅👅:love:
