Covid and Influenza Hitting Sydney

Just a warning to all especially the vulnerable.

I thought I was suffering with my allergies, ( constant sneezing and runny nose) over the past 48 hours until my symptoms worsen and my throat became sore feeling like razor blades and shivering where I can't get warm.

I now have body ache and a bit of a headache

I tested positive to Covid. Did a phone consult with my doctor who put me on antivirals. He said Covid, Influenza and RSV are raging and people are being hospitalised.

My daughters household including Leo's mum have exact symptoms to me and I haven't seen them for 2 weeks so we never caught it from each other.

Best precautions, wear a mask when out in busy places eg shopping centres and check with visitors that they have been well.

Well it's back to sleep for me.
Take Care

Sorry to hear you are unwell. Hope you don't get too bad with it.
This is my 4th time having it and I would say the worst.
I'm on antivirals so hopefully it will help and hopefully it goes quick. My daughter is due to give birth next week and she said she needs me there.

The new test check for covid RSV and influenza
I took this second test just now hoping it showed a negative that yesterday's test was wrong but no luck

I found out my niece has covid and is still working. She works at Woolworths. So again if you are vulnerable wear a mask when going to busy places.

I have to say this one is the worst one I've had . It's had me in bed from Tuesday lunch time until now

Wonder why your niece wants to work when she is unwell with covid?

Because people think it's now OK to be out n about when they are sick.
I was ready to go to the post office Tuesday when my throat became sore and I couldn't stop sneezing so I stayed home then 1 hour later I was in bed.
This is the worst I've had.

Sounds like common sense isn't in the equation anymore. Wonder if it applies when a child at daycare gets sick ... no restrictions anymore! Mum can drop off their little darling, and head to work.
