One 102-year-old woman, the grandmother of social media personality Tay Gusta, credited her long and healthy life to a simple yet nutritious habit: a daily green juice packed with health-boosting ingredients.

When asked about her secret in a video, she revealed: ‘I make a green juice which is aloe vera, celery, kale, ginger and powdered greens.’

The centenarian explained that the powdered greens she uses are readily available.


‘This comes in a can and I get it at the health food stores, I put one teaspoon [in the juice],’ she said. ‘There are different brands but you can get it at the grocery store.’

The health-conscious grandmother had been drinking her green juice for many years, and her granddaughter acknowledged the benefits.

‘Everybody always says that the secret to you living so long is how healthily you’ve eaten,’ Tay said.


Green powders, like the ones used in her recipe, are rich in vitamins that support immune function and can help fill nutritional gaps in diets.

A common ingredient in these powders is algae such as spirulina, known for its potential to protect against cardiovascular and liver diseases.
