Attention all members of the SDC! You may want to double-check your pantry and shed, as there are two recent product recalls that could potentially put your health at risk.

Don't wait until it's too late - take action now to ensure the safety of you and your loved ones.

One of the recalls involves a popular milk product that has been deemed unsafe for consumption due to potential health hazards. It's important to act swiftly and check your inventory to avoid any potential health complications.

Another product that has been recalled is a widely-used bike that could also pose a significant threat to your well-being if not addressed. Don't let this go unnoticed - make sure to take the necessary steps to ensure your safety.

Pouring cream products from Fleurieu Milk Company have been recalled due to potential contamination with E.coli, a type of bacteria that can cause serious health problems.

The affected batches of pouring cream products were available for sale at major supermarkets such as Woolworths, IGA, and independent food retailers in several states, including South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and the Northern Territory.

The recall includes pouring cream products with a use-by date of April 6, April 7, and April 8.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), the recall was initiated due to possible microbial contamination. This means that the pouring cream products might contain harmful bacteria that could lead to food poisoning and other health complications.

If you've purchased any of the impacted pouring cream batches, FSANZ advises you to return the product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.

It's important to be aware of the symptoms of an intestinal infection caused by E.coli, especially if you have recently been exposed to contaminated food or water. The incubation period for this infection is typically 3 to 4 days after exposure, and symptoms can last anywhere from 1 to 10 days.

Mild to moderate symptoms of an E.coli infection include abdominal cramping, sudden and severe watery diarrhoea that may change to bloody stools, gas, loss of appetite or nausea, fatigue, fever, and in rare cases, vomiting.

However, if the infection becomes severe, it can lead to more serious symptoms such as bloody urine, decreased urine output, pale skin, bruising, and dehydration. If you experience any of these symptoms, seek medical attention immediately.

Stay vigilant, stay safe, and don't forget to spread the word to others who might have purchased the impacted pouring cream products. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to food safety!
