The tight-knit community of Jurien Bay has been left in mourning after the tragic loss of two of its most cherished members, Coral Seinor and Thelma Clausen, who were killed in a fatal crash near Cooljarloo.

Coral and Thelma were the epitome of lifelong friends, having shared the journey of life side by side since they arrived in Jurien Bay in the 1960s.

The CWA, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of women and families, particularly in rural areas, became a focal point for their efforts to contribute to the town's growth and spirit.
The tragic accident occurred as they drove to Badgingarra, about 200 kilometres north-east of Perth, for an annual choir and drama event.
Their lives were cut short in a collision involving their vehicle and a road train, leaving fellow CWA members who arrived first on the scene in shock and grief.
The driver of the four-wheel drive, former Collingwood footballer Shannon Cox, has been charged over the crash.
Pauline Ward, a friend who met the pair in 1978, shared her heartache, describing the loss as 'disbelief, devastation, a terrible sense of loss, just the worst’.
‘They will always be loved and remembered as remarkable icons of the Jurien Bay community and of CWA because they were just so giving and talented and sharing—they were just two of the best,’ she said.
Pauline reminisced about the joyous times they had, saying, ‘We had many fun times celebrating just about anything like royal weddings, births of all the babies—anything that was an excuse for us to get together with our other friends.’
