Coles has stated that customers who link their Flybuys account to the app can receive various offers, including discounts on their shop, bonus Flybuys points on specific products or categories, and even free items.

Saving money is always a top priority, so this revamped program is particularly exciting for us here at the Seniors Discount Club community.

To celebrate this new launch, Coles is offering a special promotion: until June 27, shoppers can earn 5x Flybuys points on their shop when they spend at least $20 on fresh fruit and vegetables.

This is fantastic news for those of us who want to maintain a healthy diet during the colder months by adding quality produce to our weekly shop, all while boosting our points balance. As the weather cools, consider trying creative, nutritious, and delicious recipes using price-locked fresh fruit and vegetables—for instance, a warming carrot soup or a hearty chicken and sweet potato soup.

According to Coles, a shopper who spends $100, including $20 on fresh fruit and vegetables, can increase their Flybuys balance by 500 points. For those with larger trolley hauls, spending $200 will earn a whopping 1,000 Flybuys points.

Additionally, when you redeem 2,000 Flybuys points, you can take $10 off your shop!

Coles General Manager for In-Store Experience and Loyalty, Adam Heywood, explained that these new initiatives encourage Australians to load up their shopping baskets with fresh fruit and vegetables throughout the winter months.

'We have seen our customers turn to loyalty programs as the cost of living continues to pinch, to help them accumulate points and save on future transactions,' he said.

'This new offer from Flybuys will allow customers and their families to eat well while boosting their points balance to be used on upcoming shops.'

I fail to see what has changed. I get personalised Coles offers on a weekly basis.

I have always felt I get more out of flybuys than woolworths rewards card.

My daughter always shopped at woolworths due to it being the closest supermarket , then 6 months ago Coles opened across the road. She only told me last night how in 6 months she has now collected $800 in flybuy dollars just by doing her normal shop with all the bonus points.
On top of this she received 4 pieces of the cookware which was also through flybuys but separate to her flybuy dollars

Coles has always offered far better deals eg spend $90.00 collect 2000 points and we get those alot. It does not take much to spend $90 unfortunately these days. Woolworths does not do anything of the sort anymore. It all counts to money off your shops together with other points accumulated.

This sounds all vey well for those with mobile phones. However those of us who live where mobilews don't work so don't own a mobile device are again discriminated against seems that there is some degree of not looking after everyone and personally I can't see why I and others like me should be forced to buy amobile so that we can access these type of deals. oplease explain how we are going to be catered for as you dont mind taking our money.

You don't have to have the mobile app. Coles know your email that is linked with your flybuys card. They send emails with discounts and specials every week that you buy.

I can't understand why these promotional products have to be so bloody complicated for our elderly folks yes me being one, instead of just clicking on with your email, I understand that these big companies, pay huge amounts of money to advertising companies they have to be seen to be earning there fees

Flybuy rewards are superior to Woolworths rewards imo.
You can swipe the flybuy card at other stores as well. Bunnings, Officeworks, Kmart, Target etc.
And you can use your Woolworths Everyday Rewards card at Ampol, Big W, BWS, and Super Pharmacy ( as well as many online stores like Pet Culture too).

If Coles were serious about rewarding their customers they would let you redeem your FlyBuys points online, but they don't. I can't get my additional 10% monthly discount online at Woolworths anymore, but I can still redeem my $10 off for collecting 2000 points online. Also if someone gives me a gift card I can shop online at Woolworths but Coles do not accept cards online ... they don't care about their customers.

Yes, I use mine at Ampol. Fill up approx. $80-$90 (depending on price). Takes a while adding up to $20 rewards though. Even if I shop at Woolies too.

When flybuys was first launched many years ago it was much easy to accumulate points. Certain weekly items would have triple points attached. The following week it would be something different and then they changed it to having to buy 2 and sometimes 3 of the same items to earn the bonus points. These offers even slowly disappeared. Now they are offering extra points when you spend over a certain amount!! Come on Coles, that eliminates the seniors who don’t do big shops anymore, singles who are only buying for themselves and the low income earners who can’t afford to do a big shop. It’s all just a ploy to get you to spend more to improve their profits.

I think its discrimination as not every has a mobile that can use apps I have a mobile it is only for an emergency so it is never turned on its only if I need to call some one
it says you can access tailored flybuys offer through the user friendly app so a lot of people like me miss out maybe I should go to Woolies

This is not a new initiative as I have been offered free items in the past and receive prootions each week via email..
If you don't have a mobile phone (we don't) then you can't get the extra benefits on the app.

I have been a customer of Coles ever since they opened in our rural town & have had a flybuy card for longer. Coles use to post vouchers out every 3 months. 1 week you could get a certain amount of points on your shop the following week you needed to spend a certain amount of money for bonus points & so it would go on like that for the whole 12 weeks. Also included would be coupons for certain products that you needed to use by different dates for more bonus points. Last year when I didn't receive my vouchers in the mail I rang them only to be told that they don't send them to everyone.
This launch, 'Coles offering a special promotion: until June 27, shoppers can earn 5x Flybuys points on their shop when they spend at least $20 on fresh fruit and vegetables'. I received this via email and understood that it was 5 x points on the fruit & vegies when you spend over $20. Not on the total shop.

Cool. Yawn.
I couldn't care less though as I don't want to add any more apps on my phone. Most of the ones I have, I don't use because I can't be bothered to look for them.

So, I shall continue to scan the FlyBuys code on the back of my Coles credit card on those rare occasions that I purchase anything in Coles or any of the businesses that participate in FlyBuys.

I get the emails, I am not interested in getting the app, I did have the flybys app once upon a time but half the time it didn't work properly so I just deleted it. I also use a woolies card and save the 10 dollars every time I reach the amount to get the ten dollars and then save it for Christmas. I also save the money on flybys for Christmas too, which helps too.
