Coles introduces New Cadbury ‘Caramel Slice’ block by Curtis Stone – “OMG, is this real?”

Got a sweet tooth? If so, you’ll be pleased to hear that Coles & Cadbury recently launched a new and exciting addition to their dessert range.

As the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary, Popular Australian chef Curtis Stone teamed up with the iconic confectionary company to give a fresh twist on the humble Dairy Milk bar that we all love. They released a delicious ‘caramel slice’ flavour that sent thousands of shoppers flocking to their local supermarkets.

The block features the brand’s classic milk chocolate but this time around, incorporated with smooth caramel, vanilla flavoured crème and crunchy biscuit pieces. Now THAT is what you call a treat!

Official news on the Curtis Stone block has yet to be announced by Cadbury but one fortunate shopper was able to spot the highly-anticipated chocolate amid his grocery run. He shared a clip of it on social media and to no surprise, it immediately took the internet by storm.

TikTok user ‘@deficitincalories’ showed off the $5 chocolate at his local Coles and was barraged with numerous requests for more information. He decided it was best to post a review on it just an hour later.

“If you like Caramello Koala, you’re are going to love this. Think Caramello Koala, vanilla cream and biscuit pieces all in one,” he said.

“It doesn’t taste exactly like a caramel slice, but it comes pretty d*mn close for a chocolate bar.”

“Curtis Stone and Cadbury did their thing on this. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves caramel. I’m tossing up between 9.5 and a 10 out of 10.”

The TikTok video went viral, clocking up more than 350,000 views in the span of 24 hours.

Several users expressed how keen they were to get their hands on the dessert. One user said they were “running” to the supermarket to buy one while others shared that their local Coles was yet to stock the new block.

“I just went to Coles and didn’t see this,” one user wrote.

“Ooooo, must try this one,” another commented.

A third asked: “How long have they been out? I can’t find it in regional Victoria.”

One woman who had managed to snag the new block exclaimed: “I’m never buying that ever again. I ate the whole block!”

Hundreds more tagged their friends and urged them to share a block together.

“I’m so excited!” wrote another shopper.

“OMG, is this real? I’m going to look for it tomorrow at the shops.” chimed one more.

The new Cadbury Caramel Slice is exclusive to Coles, presumably because of Curtis Stone’s role as an ambassador for the food retailer. The item officially launches on June 15 but some stores have already started putting up the item for sale on their shelves.

I don't shop at Coles as it's not my local store so I can't see me getting to try this anytime soon. I'm not going to drive to town, 40 odd km away just for a block of chocolate!;)

As a chocoholic l'll be watching out for this &, perhaps shamefully unlike the lady above, will buy 2 blocks so l can eat one block a day over two days. Sounds like a great flavour regardless of who is promoting this for Coles.

I have wondered for some time if the smaller blocks still contain 'A glass & a half of that rich full cream milk'?

No I didn’t think it tasted like a caramel slice and it was way too sweet. I have actually found that all the Cadbury blocks taste way sweeter than they used to be😩
