There’s no doubt that ready-made meals are convenient. You can find them in the freezer section of your local grocery store, and they’re usually pretty cheap. They’re also easy to make – just pop them in the microwave and you’re good to go.
However, ready-made meals should only be eaten in moderation. They’re not necessarily healthy, and they can contain a lot of sodium and preservatives. If you’re eating them every day, you’re not doing your body any favours.
Speaking of potential health issues from consuming ready-made food, several items have been quickly removed from store shelves after traces of listeria were discovered in them.
Six Raw Nation Wholefoods products were recalled on Monday due to concerns that they could spread disease.
The recalled items include the following:

Food Standards Australia explained that the probable microbiological contamination (Listeria monocytogenes) was the reason for the recall.
Listeria has been known to cause disease in older persons, immunocompromised individuals, pregnant women, and unborn children.
Please note that the meals have been available for purchase at Coles supermarkets and some independent food retailers, including IGA in South Australia.
Additionally, the best-before dates for the recalled meals were August 31, 2022, September 1, 2022, September 2, and September 3, 2022.
If you suspect that you have purchased the recalled meals, customers have been advised not to consume the items and to return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund.
Those who are concerned about their health should consult a doctor.
Again, we recommend double-checking your meals to avoid any serious health complications that may arise from consuming them. Stay safe, folks!
