Cobbers

Who remembers heading to the corner store to buy a bag of cobbers? Those chewy caramels covered in delicious chocolate were the ultimate treat back in the day. Sure, there was always the risk of a trip to the dentist if you indulged too much, but the joy of eating them made it worthwhile! Do you have fond memories of enjoying this treat? Share them with us in the comments.

These used to be my favourites when I was a young thing. I loved freckles also. i was excited to find Cobbers and Freckles in a Lolly shop but they were so small. I was a little let down.
Yes, I know, everything has shrunk, look at the Wagon Wheels, Gaytimes amd many more, ripped off.

Cobbers were great and of course in the olden days we could buy any number that the pocket money could buy. When I was very young I loved dolly mixtures. Does anyone remember them?

Loved these English lollies you can still buy them today. Yum.😊

Dolly mixtures were miniature sweets like little tiny jellies. tiny soft squares in pastel colours etc. When I was a little child in England I went to the local corner shop and Mr Honeysett weighed them out of a big glass jar into a little white paper bag (as they did for many sweets in those days.
