Coal Miner Cake

Ingredients
1 (500g) box devil's food cake mix
1 (580g) can cherry pie filling
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 stick margarine or butter
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 (170g) package chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans


Instructions

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Mix first 4 ingredients, and put in greased 9x13-inch pan.

Bake 30-35 minutes. In saucepan, and evaporated milk over warm mixture of sugar, margarine, and evaporated milk over low heat.

Bring to a low boil 1 minute.

Add chocolate chips and nuts Pour mixture over cake while it is still hot.
