Remember getting off at Circular Quay, surrounded by the salty breeze, ferries, and city buzz? Whether it was part of your daily commute or a weekend trip, that station always felt busy and familiar. Did you grow up stopping there? Share your memories here.

are you saying that the station does not exist now? Makes me wonder how you get to the quay now. We used the station quite a lot to go to Manly, the zoo and my Aunt's home at Mosman.

We used it regularly, to catch the ferry to either The Zoo or Manly.
Also every Friday night we would go to Luna Park.

On my way to work I would sometimes get off there just so I could go for a walk before work. I worked in The Dymocks Building a 15 to 20 minute walk up George st

To be honest Circular Quay really hasn't changed that much.same as Museum and St James

I took these recently. A view from Circular Quay

I worked in Hunter Street. Caught the train (Red Rattler) from Hurstville & left the train at Circular Quay & walked up to Hunter Street. The view from the Quay was & still is beautiful. No Opera House then & not a lot of tall building. I always remember that walk in a skirt & top, high heeled stilettos walking past a park & the quiet time for myself. I was 17 then.

When I was an apprentice, I went to The Quay each morning to lay bricks on the AMP building which, at the time, became the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and recently became an Australian Heritage Site.

thank you. I love your photos. My dearest wish is to go on a last ferry ride but I doubt this miracle will never happen.
Last time I was on a Manly ferry was back in 1973, thrill seeking. Went across to Manly in the meanest of swells so bad that they cancelled the ferry for the return trip.

I had to get back to Wynyard by damn bus! What a bummer!
