Chocolate Chip Biscuits

Chocolate Chip Biscuits - recipe from Jamie Oliver.

100gr butter
1/2 cup raw sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
200gr S/R flour
pinch of salt
100gr chocolate chips

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until pale and creamy.
Crack in the egg, add the vanilla extract and mix well.
Add the flour and salt, and fold through the mixture.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Roll tablespoons of the dough into balls and place onto 2 lined baking trays.
Place them in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Then flatten the balls slightly with your fingers.

Bake in oven 170 degrees fan forced or 190 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
Makes 23 biscuits.

Guess I'm making a bunch of cookies today.
I call my 20 year old son The Cookie Monster. He LOVES chocolate chip cookies. I'm guessing he will be thanking you 🙂
I ate all mine so I’m going to make some more also! they are addictive😁and I hate footy so no friends over today😂

Well .. I can't say because I dislike anything curry :sneaky:
Just baked them there really nice just an aftertaste of curry on the tongue😁that recipe you can toss any flavour in. Next will be “hmmm thinking about that🤔

I've only used dark chocolate chips which has more flavour compared to milk chocolate.
Sometimes, I've used half white and half dark chocolate chips.

Might try those glaze 🍒 if there cheap enough or even ginger powder oh the list goes on😁
 
Never been a fan of curry, but if you like that combination ... then go for it!
For me, I like simple.
Saw nigellas new choc chip bikkie recipe she adds pumpkin seeds to hers.Apparantely you can buy them dried in bags.😁
 
Nigella's recipes have always been winners. I bake her simple chocolate biscuit recipe. Her editor's grandmother gave the recipe to her.
Not alot of chefs invent their recipes, either they copy or change another's recipe.

I thought RecipeTin eats created her own until I came across an old recipe which was exact to hers
