Chinese Beef and onion stir-fry delicious
Chinese Beef and Onion Stir-Fry recipe:
Ingredients:
• ½ lb (225g) beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
• 1 medium onion, sliced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1-inch piece ginger, minced
• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 1 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• 1 tsp sugar
• ½ tsp sesame oil
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 2 tbsp water (or beef broth)
• Green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Marinate the Beef
1. In a bowl, mix the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, black pepper, and sesame oil.
2. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour for more flavor).
2. Stir-Fry
1. Heat oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
2. Add the beef and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed, then stir-fry the onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant (about 1–2 minutes).
4. Return the beef to the pan, add 2 tbsp of water (or beef broth), and stir-fry everything together for another minute.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
3. Serve
• Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
