Chili n Lemon Chicken and roast potatoes

This has to be my family's ultimate chicken
Use this marinade for whole chicken and also chicken pieces of choice
I used this with a whole chicken which I now cut down one half and lay flat. It also cooks quicker and marinade seeps into the chicken
This recipe is by me
1. For whole chicken Preheat oven 180 C 160C fan forced
2. Bake in oven for 70 minutes , half way through using a pastry brush baste chicken using juices thaf are in bottom of pan
3. For chicken pieces do as above but reduce cooking time to around 40 minutes
Serve with steamed vegetables or tossed salad and roast potatoes ( see below )
Note
When I am making whole chicken , before placing into oven I will sprinkle top with Paprika
ROAST POTATO RECIPE
4 large potatoes
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoondries oregano
2 teaspoon garlic steak seasoning
2 tablespoon olive oil
1. Peel and cut potatoes in small chunk size ( cooks in 35 minutes)
2. Place in baking dish or tray . Sprinkle lightly with paprika , oregano and garlic steak seasoning.
Drizzle olive oil over top. 3. Half way through turn potatoes and if needed add an extra drizzle of olive oil
Cook in oven when there is around 35 to 40 minutes left with cooking time for chicken

INGREDIENTS
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice ( no less but more is good)
- 3 tablespoons olive Oil
- 1⁄2teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon chili power. ( if you like it hot add another teaspoon , if you like it mild just use 1 teaspoon )
DIRECTIONS
If using a whole chicken then add to a baking dish and pour combined marinate over chicken- If using pieces Combine all ingredients in ziploc bag
- Add chicken and marinate a minimum of 1 1/2 hours I will sometimes marinate from the night before
- Lately when I make whole chickens I use scissors and cut down the middle so as chicken is opened and lays flat
