Chicken Wrap With Caesar Sauce

This is the perfect mid week meal or Sunday night meal and is sure to please

My hubby loves them and my family devours them.

Makes around 10

INGREDIENTS.

Chicken
1kg chicken breast fillet
1 packet wrap bread of choice or pita bread
Olive oil
Zest of 1 lemon 🍋 grated
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 garlic cloves crushed or 2 teaspoon jar garlic
Salt n pepper to taste

Caesar Sauce

1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon djion mustard
2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 garlic clove minced or 1/2 teaspoon jar garlic
Salt n pepper to taste.

Salad.

Lettuce of choice
Tomato's sliced or cut into small chunks or cherry tomatoes

Method


Chicken

1. In a bowl whisk lemon rind, lemon juice, olive oil and garlic , add chicken and coat in mixture . Cover and put in fridge for at least 4 hours . (See note 1 below).

2 . In a pan drizzle with oil and fry chicken until brown then turn and cook for around 5 minutes. Remove from heat .
Slice chicken.

Caesar Sauce.
1. Mix all sauce ingredients together until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Assemble.

Lay out wrap bread at in end top with lettuce , tomato, sliced chicken and top with Caesar sauce .

The roll up

Heat a frypan , spray a little oil and add wrap and cook 2 minutes and carefully turn cook another 2 minutes and sercmve immediately ( see note 2 )


NOTE 1 : I usually martinate chicken either in the morning or the day before.

NOTE 2 : YOU can cook pita bread or wrap by it self and then load up and wrap up

I normally buy our wraps but this recipe is easy enough to try - looks delicious - I will give it a try with the new flatbread from Coles :)
