An Adelaide family found themselves in a shocking predicament on the morning of 26 April, when they discovered human faeces on their driveway.
The woman responsible was recorded by security cameras while walking her dog before squatting and relieving herself on their private property.
Rather than ignoring the incident, the family decided to take matters into their own hands.
They plastered posters around their neighbourhood with a direct message for the mystery woman.
'To the lady who defecated on our driveway,' the signs read.
'At approximately 7:15 am this morning (26 April), while walking your dog, you were recorded on our security cameras, defecating on our private driveway.
'We have clear video footage of the incident. You have 48 hours to return and properly clean up the mess.'
'If not, we will have no choice but to circulate photos from the footage to identify you. Please do the right thing.'
The incident immediately drew comparisons to the 2018 case of the Brisbane 'poo jogger', Andrew Douglas Macintos.
Macintos had become infamous for repeatedly defecating on a private footpath during his morning runs, leading locals to band together to catch him in the act.
'I started sitting out there in the dark and waiting, and I decided I was going to get a photo of this guy. I patiently waited each morning for a few minutes until eventually I got that photo,' a local resident recalled.
The image captured Macintos squatting over the path with a piece of toilet paper in hand, leading to his eventual identification.
The photo was shared on social media and Macintos was dubbed the 'Brisbane poo jogger.'
He was later charged with being a public nuisance and fined $400 for defecating in a public place.
