Canadian First Nations people - circa 12,000.
Australian Aboriginal Art is the oldest unbroken tradition of art making in the world ... NOTE: Previously, they had not been recognised as Australian citizens…imagine that!
Art is primarily judged based on how much money it will return when sold - or for personal enjoyment.

Eg Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri - $2.4 million (2007)
Personally, if I could have my walls filled with Australian Indigenous Artwork I would be very happy - not only because I would get pleasure seeing it, also because it would be a very resilient investment indeed!
