Can YOU recommend a fun Christmas party game for the SDC team?

Hello, lovely members! The SDC team and I (Sethia) have been brainstorming about gimmicks to make our Christmas party this year unforgettable, and we're looking for game ideas. At the moment, we're thinking of holding the Aussie version of Family Feud, a Guess The Song game, and Musical Chairs!

Trivia!

The Christmas Left Right Game (W/Printable Story)

A white elephant gift exchange is a staple at just about every Christmas party, right? Each person brings an inexpensive (or gag) gift wrapped up in pretty paper. Do not open gifts right away!!! It’s usually a ton of fun, but with large groups it can end up taking a long time, The LEFT RIGHT game is a great alternative to the standard white elephant gift exchange. It’s fairly quick, doesn’t involve stealing (so no one gets sad), and is absolutely hilarious!

You select a celebrity, it can be anyone or anything, then you write it on a piece of paper & choose which person is going to be that celebrity, stick it on their forehead. Each person can ask one question, then it's the next persons turn to ask a question. A question can be such as: " am I human" or "am I alive", another can be " am I in movies" & so on until some one guesses who they are. It's really fun. I play with the family.

Regifting Bingo. Everyone brings a gift from their regifting stash ( most people have one ). If you have nothing to regift, buy a novelty item from a bargain store. Wrap nicely and put on a table provided for this purpose. Put number stickers on all gifts. Put the same numbers on folded slips of paper in a bowl. Use raffle tickets given as people arrive to draw out each person's turn to receive a gift number drawn from the prize table. No one gets to open their gift until all gifts have been taken. Swapping at the end is optional. I haven't yet played this as it's just an idea that I dreamed up when looking through my regifting stash.

We are hosting an early Xmas lunch this weekend and I always get the Dusk bonbons and they have the who am I in them, amongst their other cool stuff. Pass the parcel is good, musical chairs can get to be a bit dangerous at our age.

The guest to the luncheon range from 92 years young down to 80 years, musical chairs are definitely out of the question. What makes you think the SDC gang are a lot younger than us? Have you met them? 🤨
