Bunnings launches a bigger (and spookier) version of one of Woolies' most popular items!

We all know that Bunnings is the ultimate destination for all things home and garden. It's where we go to buy our power tools, our gardening supplies, and even our outdoor furniture.

But did you know that Bunnings is now also selling one of Woolworths' most popular (and unusual) items? That's right – the meerkat garden statues!

For those of you who haven't seen them before, meerkat garden statues have been flying off the shelves at Woolies for months now.

The adorable little animal ornaments are available in dozens of designs and cost between $10 and $18 each from the supermarket giant - depending on which one you choose, of course.

Now, Bunnings is getting in on the action by selling its own version of the popular statue design... but there are some key differences that customers should be aware of before they make their purchase.

For starters, the Bunnings meerkats are 38cm taller than their Woolies counterparts; meaning they'll definitely make more of an impact in your garden (or wherever else you choose to put them).

But size isn't everything… These guys also come complete with solar LED light-up eyes! Talk about a major change!

However, the price also had the same massive markup and these Bunnings meerkat figurines now retail for about $60.

But as Halloween draws near, the cute witch meerkats and grim reaper meerkats that have been selling so well in stores and online are said to be getting marked down.

An avid bargain hunter even shared that her local Bunnings store is offering their stocks for just $30 already – half of the original price!

Sadly, though, as of writing this article, it is reported that the meerkat figurine dressed as a cute witch is already sold out everywhere, but the grim reaper one is still available in stores and online.

If Halloween isn't really your thing, you might be interested in picking up one of the two other designs that Bunnings has in stock.

A Christmas reindeer onesie meerkat statue with blinking eyes and a red nose costs $99, while an Australian-themed meerkat dressed in board shorts, thongs, and barbeque tongs clutching a sausage goes for the same price. Wow, what a cutie!

So what do you think, folks? Are you hoping to bring home a light-up version of one of these cute statues? Please share your thoughts in the comments!

I don't think they are flying off the shelf I saw those at Bunnings kingsgrove and Woolworths Campsie and the shelves were full like no one had touched them.

When I saw them in the 2nd store I thought what is it with these things.

I wouldn't take them home even if they were free . But each to their own.

I saw a beautiful metal Rozella that I would buy and put in my garden
