Bunnings is well-known for its annual release of home improvement supplies, building on a long and renowned history of offering products that thrill Australian home renovation enthusiasts and gardeners alike.
This year, the retail giant has not disappointed its massive number of fans yet, as it launched its new range at retail and online stores nationwide.
After a hugely popular range of plant pots that was released last year, the retailer has just revealed a new range featuring adorable artwork by an Indigenous artist from the Northern Territory, Wilma Napangardi Poulson, better known as Warlukurlangu.
The beautiful designs feature traditional Warlpiri designs and stories.
The new range is now available in 120 Bunnings stores across the country, as well as online, and features beautiful dog artwork. They are retailing for $18.99 each.
Cecilia Alfonso, Warlukurlangu Artists' Aboriginal Corporation Manager, claimed that the inspiration behind the dog paintings was meant to respond positively to current circumstances in remote Aboriginal communities.
She said in a statement: 'The dog paintings are a good example of remote Indigenous artists responding in a positive and fun way to their contemporary environment.'
'Dogs abound in most remote communities and the art centre has been paying for vets to treat the local dogs for many years, so these happy dogs are an indication of the good health of the animals.'
'The dogs live very closely with the people and having healthy dogs helps towards improving the health of the local people.'
The release was intended to mimic a range of pots released in 2021 that featured artwork from Warlukurlangu Artists, one of the oldest, 100 per cent Aboriginal-owned art co-operatives in Australia.

Members, are you looking to get your hands on these pots? They’re currently sold out so you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled!
