Bumper Strap​

Who else had this strapped on the back of their cars? For many, it’s used to stop static electricity on the road, while others claimed it could stop car sickness. Whatever use it had, the real question is 'Did it work?'. Share your stories in our forum.

Yes, I remember when I was a kid seeing lots of cars with this strap hanging off the back of the car. Haven’t seen one now for a long time.

I remember them but the the only time I got a shock was when I got a s speeding ticket and the only time I spewed was before I drove home from the rubbety?

Back in the day when I did the school run for the Grand Littlees all was good until I bought a luxury car and they both complained of feeling sick (the drive to school was approx 15 klms). I bought one of these static straps and put it on the car. Didn't tell the Grandies and no complaints! I didn't believe in them then, and I am still on the fence about it though.
