Bull Gores Unaware 60-Year-Old Woman at Spanish Festival

The festive atmosphere of a Spanish town was shattered in an instant when a 60-year-old woman dressed in red became the victim of a horrific bull attack during a traditional festival. The chilling incident, captured on video, has reignited debates about the safety and ethics of such events.

The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was crossing a square in Enguera, near Valencia, when the bull, released for the revellers to dodge in a daring display of bravado, charged towards her. The footage shows the unsuspecting woman being struck with such force that she was rendered unconscious upon hitting the ground, suffering a severe injury to her armpit.

Bystanders, reacting with a mix of bravery and horror, rushed to her side, moving her to safety and awaiting emergency services. Despite the valiant efforts of first responders, the woman tragically succumbed to her injuries while en route to the hospital.

This tragic event occurred during the town's annual festivities, which celebrate its patron saint. Following the incident, the town council decided to cancel some of the remaining events as a mark of respect and in response to the tragedy that unfolded in their streets.

Enguera's mayoress, Matilde Marin, expressed the community's profound shock and grief over the loss of one of their own. The town, known for its vibrant celebrations, now mourns the loss of life and confronts the stark dangers of its traditional practices.

This is not an isolated incident. Just days prior, a 74-year-old man was killed and several others injured, including a young girl, when a bull escaped during a similar event in Pantoja, south of Madrid. Last September, a high-ranking executive and his friend were attacked by a bull in La Pobla de Fornals, resulting in one fatality and serious injury.

These events, known locally as Bous al Correr, are deeply ingrained in the culture of the Valencian region. They draw crowds eager to test their courage against the bulls. However, they have also been the scene of numerous fatalities and injuries over the years, leading to increased scrutiny and calls for change.

The debate around such festivals is complex, intertwining tradition, entertainment, and the inherent risks to participants and bystanders. Critics question the security measures in place and the ethical implications of using animals for entertainment in this manner.

As we reflect on this tragedy, it's important to consider the broader implications of such cultural practices. While they are a part of local heritage, the safety of participants and spectators must be paramount. The loss of life at these events is a stark reminder that perhaps it's time to reevaluate and adapt these traditions to prevent future tragedies.

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the woman who lost her life in such a sudden and shocking manner. We also extend our sympathies to the community of Enguera as they grapple with the aftermath of this event.

We invite our readers to share their thoughts on the continuation of such festivals and the balance between tradition and safety. Have you ever witnessed or participated in similar events? Yeh they bleed them while they are alive

The Islamic form of slaughtering animals or poultry, dhabiha, involves killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe. Animals must be alive and healthy at the time of slaughter and all blood is drained from the carcass.
And that my friends is how it's done all over the world to all sheep, goats and in many numerous times to calves as well. The only diff., is that their not facing east with someone preaching over the poor buggers.

🤬😤😿

In a typical bullfight, the bull enters the arena and is approached by picadors—men on horses who drive lances into his back and neck muscles. This attack impairs his ability to lift his head and defend himself. The picadors twist and gouge the lances to ensure significant blood loss.

Then banderilleros enter on foot, distract the bull, and dart around him while plunging banderillas—brightly colored sticks with a harpoon point on the end—into his back. When he has become weakened from blood loss, the banderilleros run him in circles until he becomes dizzy and stops chasing them.

Finally, the matador appears and—after provoking a few exhausted charges from the dying animal—tries to sever the bull’s aorta with his sword. If he misses, succeeding only in further mutilating the animal, he exchanges his sword for a dagger to try to cut the spinal cord. If he blunders this stroke, the bull may be conscious but paralyzed when chained by the horns and dragged out of the arena.

If the crowd is happy with the matador, the bull’s ears—and sometimes his tail—are cut off and presented as trophies. A few minutes later, another bull enters the arena, and the sadistic cycle starts again.
No words!!

ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS BEHAVIOUR, should be outlawed immediately.
