Build your own bite-sized home with FREE gingerbread stencils from IKEA

You can take your gingerbread house making to a whole new level as home furniture giant IKEA just released gingerbread versions of their best-selling furniture in Australia!
The cookie-cutter stencils come in six unique designs and are exclusively available to Aussies from December 1.
Oh, and did we mention that they’re also free?

The digital stencils come in the shape of iconic IKEA’s most popular furniture pieces.
Take your pick from the classic Strandmon armchair, Lack side table, Billy bookcase, Malm bed frame, Rens rug, or the Jokkmokk dining table and chairs set.
To build your very own edible gingerbread home, you just have to: download your desired stencil, cut out the template, trace around your dough, bake, then assemble and decorate.
Each stencil download comes with a set of assembly instructions just like the real thing - well, minus the Allen key (thank goodness).
And if you’re someone who prefers to avoid the hassle of making their own dough, IKEA also has ready-to-roll frozen gingerbread.

It’s all part of IKEA’s Christmascape kits, where shoppers can download free digital kits like Cooking with Kids, Sustainable Table Decorations and Balcony and Outdoor Spaces kits.
IKEA’s home furnishing direction leader, Christine Gough, said: “More than ever, we know many Australians are looking for easy, beautiful, affordable and sustainable solutions heading into the festive season. So we’ve created these Christmascape kits to provide the inspiration and how-to advice to make it really easy for people to create a magical space.”
“These curated collections provide Australians with solutions to embrace new traditions and create magical moments this Christmas — whether it’s enhancing the smallest of spaces, cooking with kids or entertaining for one, two or 20, the kits enable customers to bring the festivities to life in their home in true IKEA fashion that won’t hurt their wallet or the environment.”
Why build just a gingerbread house when you can pair it out with edible furniture too, right? However, we’re afraid these might be too adorable to eat!
