Christmas is fast approaching, and Australians are gearing up for a cherished holiday tradition—a Christmas feast adorned with the freshest and most delectable.

This year, one of the country's leading supermarkets is diving into the holiday spirit with a splash.

Woolworths brought in their seafood specials just in time for the holidays, ready to complete every home's Christmas banquet without breaking the bank.

Available until 31 December, here are some of their deals and new offerings.

Prawns, the Australian Christmas staple, took centre stage as Woolworths' freshly cooked Medium and Large Tiger and Banana Prawns.

The prawns are available for $30 per kilo across select Woolworths stores in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia.

Australian Green Banana Prawns are also available—offering the same flavour for less—for $17 per kilo.

The WA Rock Lobster—a luxurious addition to any festive table—is back on the shelves for just $24 each.

Moreton Bay Bugs, another crowd-pleaser, are also back in select Woolworths stores nationwide at $30 per kilo—a huge price slash from the previous year.

These catches are limited in quantity, so check your local Woolworths catalogue online or head in-store.

Woolworths also offered a range of excellent value seafood products available until 31 December.

Crowd favourites like the smoked salmon to prawn cutlets are also back in stock for your Christmas feast.

Are you strapped for time or unsure how to prepare seafood?

Woolworths introduced four new, ready-to-cook seafood products that are ready to hit the grill or oven.

The AGRIOS Bacon Wrapped Prawn Skewers are available for $15 per pack.

Alternatively, AGRIOS also has Chorizo & Prawn Skewers up for grabs.

Woolworths also introduced two new products—Smoked Salmon Gravlax ($20) and the Woolworths Garlic Prawn Skewers ($7 each).

The best part about this sale? The majority of the seafood products sold in Woolworths are locally sourced.

The famous Rock Lobsters available in-store has been sourced from the pristine waters of Western Australia.

l know peeled prawns are dearer and not from Australia but l often wonder if they might turn out to be the same price by the time you have peeled off the shells and deveined them.Just a query!

l have been buying the Aussie prawns at Woolies for months for $15 a kilo. Went to do a pre order yesterday and they are going to be $20 a kilo. Still cheap so I’m not that bothered.

I much prefer raw prawns, as you can so much more with them as against the limitations of cooked.
Last year I bought woollies cooked prawns they were so salty I couldn’t eat them lucky I only got 250gms but I’ve never bought them since.🎅

I weighed my shells and the prawns after l had peeled them and the weight was about the same.
Thanks ! l just wondered but trying to get Australian peeled prawns is impossible.
You know we are strange creatures peeled prawns look like maggots don't they?
