Bride and groom's romantic honeymoon flight nearly ruined by foul odour

When it comes to making the most of a memorable occasion, there's no better way to do it than with a bit of luxury (just as long as you can afford it, of course).
Romantic getaways are sometimes all the more thrilling when you travel to exotic or distant lands. And while this necessitates plenty of saving and planning, it could well turn out to be the adventure of a lifetime.
Unfortunately, for newly married Hannah and her husband, that adventure almost became a nightmare while on a plane ride to the Maldives when a foul smell started to creep up their noses.
Hannah Charlotte Mol, originally from the UK, took to TikTok to share the experience of her honeymoon trip by uploading a clip of their travels.
In the video, Hannah and her new husband, Charlie, were gushing over how excited they were to start their holiday by taking off on a 10-hour 'premium economy' flight to the Maldives. Her video has gotten more than 374,000 views since she posted it.
The couple arrived early to check in their bags, and were in awe over the airline’s amenities. Hannah said they had extensive leg room, were given free pillows and orange juice, a blanket, and a vanity case.
However, the pair’s trip was almost ruined when they caught a whiff of smelly feet across the aisle. Much to their dismay, a woman had taken off her shoes before the plane could even take off for ‘ultimate relaxation’.
‘Oh my goodness, this lady over here has just taken her shoes off. We’ve not even taken off yet,’ Hannah narrated.
‘Her feet are so smelly. It smells so bad. We’ve got 10 hours,’ she added.
Some of Hannah’s viewers, however, blasted the couple’s choice of seating, asking why they didn’t just ‘splurge on first class’ for their honeymoon.
‘Guess you were hoping for an upgrade at check-in,’ one commented, to which Hannah replied: ‘Would’ve been nice but we bottled it and didn’t ask.’
‘Why don’t you just fly first or to business if it’s your honeymoon? I never understand why people travel economy,’ one said.
Someone else called the couple ‘cheapskates’ for wanting to fly ‘premium economy’ for their honeymoon. ‘First class for the honeymoon!’ They added.
Others were supportive of the couple and celebrated their new marriage in the comments.
‘Congratulations! Ignore the haters. All that matters is that you two had a wonderful time,’ one shared.
Another user sent in their congratulations and said, based on Hannah’s video, they’d be booking their next holiday in the Maldives.

Economy class flights are often cramped and uncomfortable – a downside for most when opting to travel on cheaper flights. You’ll really feel the lack of legroom, especially for longer flights like Hannah and Charlie’s 10-hour journey to the Maldives. However, with a few creative fixes, passengers can make their economy class experiences more bearable and even a little bit enjoyable.
If you’re travelling on a long-haul flight, wear comfortable clothing that’s also appropriate for the temperature inside the plane’s cabin. Loose clothing is a great choice for anyone and wear flats so your feet don’t hurt. Additional accessories, like eye masks, hand sanitisers, wet wipes and noise-cancelling headsets can make your flight more relaxing as well. Don’t forget to pack some toiletries to freshen up during or after the flight!
