I had a partner a few years back, who rarely got bitten, except if she sat on or trod on an insect. True story, Delys was her name.

And in three years, not one mosquito or march fly, bit her. They all targeted me. I had to cover up and put all manner of repellants and light Mosquito coils.

She always laughed; till the day she stood on a bull ant. luckily, she had nail polish remover (contains acetone) in her purse. (sigh) some are lucky, I guess.

Yep, nail polish remover will most definitely assist to relieve the pain from a bull ant bite. I know from direct experience after I trod on one with bare feet, on a walking trail up mount warning.

It dropped me and I was not a happy chap and right there beside me in amongst a path full of leaves, was an old white colored bottle with a star on it.

I thought why not? opened it and put some on the bite and the pain stopped almost instantly. Later when again down in the carpark, I showed a group of women the bottle and asked what it is, as the label was completely faded, and the little black lidded bottle only had a pink star on it.

They said its Nail polish remover and a woman showed me one, but the one they held, had a red star.

Yep, true story. that's how I found out about it, I tell all the mums about it cause of ants and little kiddies.
