Bizarre act caught on camera: Man arrested after allegedly urinating on the roof of an iconic stadium during a rugby test match

We've all seen it before. A sporting event is going on and suddenly, something bizarre happens. It could be a player getting injured weirdly, a ball going into the stands and hitting someone or anything else that can happen when people are playing sports and spectators are drinking.

These bizarre events can often be the most memorable moments of a sporting event. They're the things that we talk about afterwards because they're so unexpected and often funny.

But, what would your reaction be if we were to tell you that a man was seen urinating in front of a big crowd during a rugby test?

No need for a double take, folks! Police have charged a man who allegedly urinated on top of the Sydney Cricket Ground during the rugby Test match between the Wallabies and England on Saturday night.

The 31-year-old male was said to have been detained at the stadium before being taken to the Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with two offences: ‘behaving in (an) offensive manner in/near a public place’ and ‘climbing on buildings on scheduled lands without approval.’

A spokesperson for NSW Police said: 'At about 9.20 pm, Saturday 16 July, a man was at a sporting stadium at Moore Park when he allegedly climbed onto the top of a scoreboard within the stadium, and onto the roof of a spectator’s stand.'

'Officers attached to Surry Hills Police Area Command and the Police Rescue attended and safely removed the man a short time later before he was arrested.'

According to reports, the man received a conditional bail and is set to appear in court on July 25.

A clip of the act, which was taken during the second half of the match, made the rounds on social media, capturing the attention of football fans.

Several people voiced their concern over the act, saying that the man was ‘classless’.

One person wrote: ‘Thoroughly distasteful and reprehensible behaviour such as this requires such a ban.’

‘What a class act,’ another sarcastically said.

A third chimed in: ‘I just cannot comprehend what goes through people’s minds when they do things like this.’

Others poked fun at the incident, with many making puns about it.

One comment read: ‘Being banned for a wee indiscretion. No wonder he hit the roof.’

‘But his performance was golden,’ another joked.

A third added: ‘At least he made a cricket match not so boring.’

We do not support this kind of act, but we do agree that this incident obviously made the match even more memorable to viewers.

So he should suffer the consequences. There are so many toilets around the SCG and to me this is disrespect and disregard to cricket. My son trained at the SCG for NSW cricket and the whole ground is emaculent and alot of work keeping it this way both inside and out

Just as lacking in class as this scumbag are the media outlets that continue to give him publicity. In future please just ignore non-news items like this.
