Online shopping is currently booming, and the marketplace is worth billions at the moment; so, in the company’s latest attempt to muscle in on a more significant share, Woolworths has improved its offer to attract more customers.
The grocery chain announced free deliveries on all orders of $50 and over would now be provided for shoppers that are signed up to its subscription service.
This includes a shorter same-day delivery option as part of the minimum spend.
For non-subscribers, the fee for online delivery is up to $15.
The supermarket has cut its annual subscription called Delivery Unlimited by 30 per cent to $119, equating to less than $10 a month for the subscription.
Delivery Unlimited offers free delivery across the year, which also covers the cost of reusable or paper bags. It was first launched in 2019.

Alistair Venn, Woolworths General Manager for e-commerce, said that the demand for online grocery shopping is growing alongside the change of customers’ needs.
“More and more customers are looking for greater flexibility and shorter delivery lead times to place orders more often,” he noted.
“Same day delivery is quickly becoming the expectation from our customers, and we’re proud to offer more same-day delivery windows than any food retailer in Australia.”
Customers eager to chase points can also use the Everyday Rewards subscription to boost their balance.
For example, an annual subscriber to Delivery Unlimited would save at least $560 each year on delivery fees and reusable bags for weekly orders costing $100-$149 while collecting up to 15,600 points worth almost $80.
Woolworths is now offering a 30-day free trial of the subscription service.
Does anyone here use Woolies delivery? And if not, is it something you will now consider using?
