Bendigo bank scam

On Saturday I received what looked like an email from Bendigo Bank. Unfortunately, I deleted the email. I tried copying and pasting but it did not work so was a little concerned it may infect my laptop.
It stated the security department needed me to log in and confirm my details and there was a place to click on to that. Straight away I had decided it was a scam so I looked at the address it came from and it was some odd name so do be aware of any emails from Bendigo or probably any other bank.

Ah dear :( Please be extra careful, everyone!

Yep, I just received this one this afternoon. Came from a weird email address, plus I don't bank with Bendigo Bank! Email deleted and sender blocked!

I never click on links in emails, I delete the email and then go the direct route to whoever it’s supposed to be.

Yes, I had 1, supposedly from the Commonwealth bank.
