It was a common feature in family sedans of the past, which allowed parents to squeeze in an extra child or two in the front row. It was also a great way to cosy up with your date where you can slide right over and get close! Do you have any memories of cars with bench-style seats?

I remember when i was a kid, if we saw a couple sitting on the bench seat like those in the photo, my mother would comment, " bet they're not married", lol.
