Ingredients
- 1 kg gravy beef cubed or meat of choice
- 1 cup plain flour to coat
- 1 pinch pepper
- 2 onions sliced
- 2 carrots large sliced
- 4 potatoes large quartered
- 4 cups water
- 4 tsp Beef Stock Powder, heaped
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbs sugar
- 4 bay leaves
Method
- Preheat oven to 160C. Or 140 °C fan-forced
- Toss meat in flour and season with cracked pepper.
- Place in a casserole dish.
- Add onions, carrots and potatoes
- Combine water, beef stock, sauces and sugar.
- Pour over meat and vegetables.Add bay leaves.
Mix until combined.
Bake for 2 hours, then remove.
Stir, then bake a further 1 hour.
